Advertised Job Summary:
The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie is seeking a qualified candidate for the rank of Clinical Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor to fill a full-time academic teaching position on the USC Salkehatchie campuses). The faculty-member would provide didactic and clinical instruction and simulation lab coordination for undergraduate nursing courses in various specialties. In addition to teaching, the position includes opportunities for clinical practice and research/scholarship activities.
Faculty appointment and salary are commensurate with the level of clinical practice, teaching, and scholarship experience of candidate. Experience with the application of innovative classroom delivery, simulation methodologies and evidence based integration is ideal. The candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to the professional development of nursing students, clinical practice, and professional services.
This is a non-tenure track appointment and is not eligible for tenure, nor does any of the time that is spent in a non-tenure position count toward the probationary period for tenure.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Nursing for appointment at rank of Clinical Instructor or Doctorate in Nursing (Ph.D. or DNP) for appointment at rank of Clinical Assistant, as well as a significant record of effective clinical performance for appointment as Clinical Associate. RN licensure required.
