The Undergraduate Programs Office within the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University is accepting applications for a Student Services Specialist II who will serve as the College Scholarship Coordinator.Â This person will also assist the Undergraduate Recruitment Coordinator as a supplemental member of the Collegeâs recruitment team.Â Primary duties include general scholarship management efforts, including promotion, research, logistics, reporting, and guidance and support of departmental scholarship committees; working closely with the Collegeâs Foundation and budget staff; providing oversight and direct involvement with new student scholar programs; leading efforts in retention funding initiatives (emergency grants, success grants, etc.); and diversity and inclusion recruitment and funding initiatives.
To better integrate scholarship management activities into the recruitment process, this person will also assist with outreach, recruitment, and yield activities for prospective business students; serve on related recruitment committees and work groups; along with contributing to Ivy Undergraduate Programs Office activities and serving students and faculty in the Ivy College of Business.
The successful candidate will have the ability to successfully communicate professionally in verbal, visual, virtual, and written formats; possess excellent computer skills and financial records knowledge to navigate, utilize, and produce scholarship and recruitment data/reports; along with strong interpersonal skills.Â The candidate should also possess knowledge of student development, the ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts, and the ability to work well within a team and with a diverse group of individuals in roles external to ISU and across campus.
