The incumbent plays an invaluable support role in the daily functions and operations of the Offices of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation and Enrollment Management. Reporting to both the Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Admissions, Orientation and School Partnerships and the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Planning, the incumbent handles a range of administrative responsibilities. Specific duties include: responding to inquiries from internal and external constituencies; scheduling standing and adhoc meetings; maintaining the calendars for both supervisors; taking and distributing minutes/notes for weekly and monthly meetings; drafting formal written correspondences; ordering of supplies and securing purchase orders for numerous vendors; maintaining accurate budgets; facilitating quarterly budget reviews; assisting with payroll and personnel processes; acting as liaison with various other offices and members of the UMBC community to establish professional and productive relationships between Undergraduate Admissions/Enrollment Management other departments; and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and four years of administrative experience. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office experience.
