JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The Researcher Associate will develop, validate and implement high complexity laboratory developed tests using high (ultra) performance liquid chromatography (H/UPLC) and gas chromatography (GC) mass spectrometry according to CLIA regulation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops, validates, evaluates, and implements biochemical genetic and special chemistry and instrumentation for a variety of methods.
Performs application development and validation related to LC-MS, GC-MS according to CLIA or CAP regulations.
Performs testing and troubleshoots assay performance related to liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, tandem mass spectrometry technology and Biochrom 30+ amino acid analyzer.
Operates and maintains complex laboratory equipment.
Analyzes and evaluates clinical data under supervision of the laboratory director.
Perform literature review and manuscript preparation for publication.
Develops and validates Quality Control testing methods, establishes material specifications, and processes acceptance criteria.
Provides training and technical support for technologists in all areas of laboratory operations.
Performs other duties assigned.
