ASSISTANT PROVOST, ADMINISTRATION , Office of the Provost , to serve as a strategist, consultant, analyst, and implementer in support of the overall management and execution of the Provost's Office. Will collaborate with senior staff to support and execute the mission and objectives of the provost; provide executive-level strategic and analytical support for the provost, gathering and analyzing information in order to prepare potential solutions and specific recommendations for the provost's consideration; provide strategic input and support for change management initiatives within the organization; initiate and foster internal/external alliances, collaborations, and partnerships inclusive of faculty and staff at all levels; anticipate emerging and controversial issues, troubleshoot, and where appropriate, suggest approaches to mitigate negative impact; and represent the provost and the organization's interests on committees and task forces.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least ten years' experience in higher education administration or related field; demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and juggle and prioritize multiple time-sensitive demands in a rapidly changing organization and environment; demonstrated leadership, and strategic thinking skills; project management experience; collaborative and inclusive work style; ability to build strategic relationships with staff at all levels; excellent organizational and communication (written, verbal, listening) skills; ability to make strategic connections; demonstrated experience using participatory methods to achieve results and the utmost respect for discretion and maintaining confidentiality; broad and deep knowledge and understanding of the Institute enterprise, including academic and central administrative functions; ability and inclination to anticipate future opportunities and consequences; strong analytical skills; ability to prepare and present complex information effectively to an executive-level audience; and resonance with the mission and goals of the organization's priorities and offices.
