The financial coordinator supports the financial and administrative work of the Division of BioMed.Â Primarily focused on supporting the Divisionâ™s financial systems.Â Providing assistance for the budget process, quarterly projections, and reporting efforts. The financial coordinator will be a key resource for updating and maintaining faculty tracked commitments. This position has the opportunity to interact with many of the departments within division and throughout the university, and providing a high level of customer service is key to the success of this position.
Bachelorâ™s degree required (in the area of accounting, finance, business or related field preferred), with 1-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive community.
Strong computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Practical experience using spreadsheet and database software for operational support
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Initiative, time management, organizational skills, and good judgment to manage multiple projects and set priorities
Effective interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills to interact successfully with administrators, faculty and staff
Ability to set deadlines, adhere to deadlines and manage workload
Strong attention to detail and organization to ensure in real time maintenance of accounts
Independent self-starter and worker
