Twenty six miles northwest of Chemeketa Community College’s Salem campus, the Yamhill Valley Campus sits nestled in the picturesque town of McMinnville, OR. The Yamhill Valley Campus is a high-energy environment that serves a diverse community.
The Yamhill Library Circulation Technician works with the YVC Library & Tutoring Lead to maintain a positive customer service environment and ensures that students have access to library materials to facilitate student success. This position supervises and trains student workers and ensures quality service through consistent training and application of library policies and practices. The YVC Library Technician reports directly to Salem Library Circulation Supervisor. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, the ability to work within multiple teams, and the ability to problem solve quickly.

Salary $2,725.00 - $4,113.00 Monthly
The successful candidate will have:
High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
One year of library experience or related field
One year of clerical or related coursework in Office Administration
Skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word; Google apps; File management in a physical and electronic environment; Comfort with technology, office equipment, computers, and a variety of software
Skills in prioritizing job assignments and adjusting to shifting priorities, and handling constant interruptions
Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently; ability to work without direct supervision
Ability to work efficiently and accurately; understand and carry out oral and written directions; follow, apply, and explain instructions and/or guidelines
Ability to troubleshoot a variety of equipment and computer related problems
Knowledge in effective customer service principles
Knowledge in basic database management principles and inventory maintenance principles
Bicultural/multicultural skills sufficient to select appropriate behaviors, values and attitudes within different cultures during interactions with others
One year of circulation experience working with an integrated library system (ILS)
Demonstrated experience conducting training on the use of software and/or job functions either one-on-one or with small groups
One year of work experience with a customer service focus
