Under direction and supervision of the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, the incumbent is responsible for a wide range of digital communications, including social media and websites. Incumbent will evaluate, design, write, edit, produce, procure, and maintain schoolwide contentwritten and multimediafor a variety of digital platforms. Incumbent will develop project timelines and production schedules and coordinate with school faculty and staff.
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or other related field and/or equivalent combination of education and years of directly related work experience.
Impeccable writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Experience developing and curating content for web and digital communications platforms.
Experience writing compelling copy with strong call-to-actions for email, web, and related messaging channels. Experience creating and executing strategic social media plans.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for online communication via web and social media platforms. Strong interpersonal communication skills: ability to collaborate with colleagues across a highly matrixed organization. Experience using a customer relationship management/marketing automation platform (MailChimp, Constant Contact, Emma, etc.) to manage contacts, deliver email campaigns and track analytics.
Skill to develop and implement digital strategies that support communication and marketing objectives.
Knowledge of HTML. Understanding and experience with online and social media metrics and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, WebTrends, and/or native social media insights to determine online marketing and social media campaign effectiveness.
Knowledge and experience applying journalistic forms, techniques, styles, and standards, including use of Associated Press style.
Ability to create and edit digital graphics and photographs, style text for digital use, design web pages and websites. Knowledge of search engine optimization tactics, user experience best practices and information design.
