Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow for the School of Health Professions within the Physical Therapy North Division. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Post Doctoral Fellow will work on an NINDS funded, multi-site research study examining the effects of intimate partner violence (IPV) related head trauma in women. The multi-site collaboration includes Rutgers University, Pennsylvania State University, The University of Utah, Brigham Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
Responsible for neuropsychological and neuroimaging data collection at the Rutgers University site.
Maintains and operates laboratory equipment.
Prepares and researches abstracts and manuscript drafts, revisions, and submission in collaboration with study personnel.
Assists in the preparation of posters and oral presentations as required in collaboration with study personnel.
Assists with the preparation of grants.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Ph.D. in Arts and Sciences, Psychology, Epidemiology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences or related field.
Experience and training working with vulnerable populations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Research or clinical experience assessing human participants using cognitive or neuropsychological assessments.
Experience with programing software (MATLAB, python), and functional and structural neuroimaging analysis programs (SPM, AFNI, freesurfer and FSL).
Experience with collecting neuroimaging data.
Must be willing to have a flexible working schedule for participant assessments.
This position is grant funded.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
