Salary Range: $35,809 - $40,000
The purpose of this position is as a Laboratory Research Technician. The position will require the ability to follow research protocols, maintain detailed laboratory records and work well with other laboratory members. On a daily basis, the Technician will be isolating lymphocytes, performing routine cell culture, basic immune assays such as ELISpot and flow cytometry and maintaining laboratory inventories. The Technician will report daily to the laboratory manager and meet at least weekly with the laboratory PI.
Education and Experience:
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic research environment. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills. Must have the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced lab setting. Basic computing experience e.g. ability to use Microsoft Word. Evidence of good numeracy skills required.
Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Science. Some laboratory experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills preferred.
