The HBS Career & Professional Development (CPD) office is seeking a motivated individual to manage two student-facing programs, HBS Leadership Fellows and HBS Summer Fellows. In this role the right candidate will gain extensive exposure to key stakeholders across the school and will service as the primary contact for students applying to, and engaging in the two programs. As the manager, you will have a significant impact on the experience of a large number of HBS students, have the opportunity to shape and improve the programs and will be an integral member of the CPD team.
Manages onboarding process of incoming Fellows including assessment of offer letters, contract paperwork submission and serves as liaison with HBS Financial Aid and Finance to ensure payment and award distribution on a timely basis
Liaises with the Social Enterprise Initiative in the management and strategy setting of the Leadership Fellows Program including playing key role in providing ongoing support and professional development resources to current Fellows in the field
Coordinates the Leadership Fellows Steering Committee including scheduling, communication and logistics
Partners with HBS External Relations team throughout year to provide critical program updates and insights
Serves as primary contact for MBA students, advising on the relevance of their summer internship offers for a specific fellowship cohort and offering guidance on University policies and fellowship evaluation process
Oversees process management including ongoing coordination of multiple, complex stakeholders. Evaluate and make process improvements as needed
Reviews 250+ MBA summer fellowship applications in application portal (Slate) to determine relevance to the appropriate fellowship cohort for final review - Evaluates applications and determine funding eligibility for General fellowship recipients
Manages end-of-summer survey and collaborate with External Relations to develop and complete reports for donor review
Liaises with MBA Financial Aid to ensure award distribution to students
The person in this role will also contribute to other duties as assigned as part of the broader MBA & Doctoral Programs team.

This position is approved for a 2-year term (with possibility of renewal/extension) which begins on the person's first day of employment. This 2-year term limit does not apply to current Harvard employees.
During the current period of COVID-19 related restrictions, this position may start as a remote position with the transition to onsite at HBS campus in Boston, MA when the office reopens.

5+ years of related experience
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Proven program management skills, preferably in an educational setting
Excellent organizational skills with superior attention to detail
Strong analytical and communication skills with experience working with a diverse group of people
Ability to manage time, take initiative and work independently as well as with a team
Interest in student program administration in a higher education setting with a demonstrated passion for supporting students
Able to handle complex and confidential information with discretion
Experience in program creation/development and marketing a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
