Director, Stroke Clinic | Neurovascular Division, Department of Neurology UCSF School of Medicine and UCSF Health
The Department of Neurology at UCSF is recruiting for the Director of the UCSF Stroke Clinic at our Parnassus campus. The selected candidate will be expected to oversee and grow our active stroke outpatient practice. Specific clinical duties will include evaluating new and follow-up patients with cerebrovascular disease, attending a monthly multidisciplinary specialty clinic for pulsatile tinnitus and up to eight weeks per year on our comprehensive stroke center inpatient practice, and interpreting carotid ultrasound and transcranial Doppler studies. The selected candidate will also participate in clinical research as a site principal investigator in ongoing NIH StrokeNet and industry studies as well.
The selected candidate will be proposed for a faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank of the HS Clinical faculty series, and will provide clinical teaching and mentoring to medical students, house staff, and clinical fellows.
Qualified applicants will possess a medical degree, valid medical license, Board certification in Neurology, BC/BE in Vascular Neurology, and a demonstrated track record in Neurovascular clinical care and/or research. Candidate must meet the qualifications at the time of hire. Candidate’s application materials must state qualifications (or if pending) upon submission.
