The primary objective of this position is to support the Student Financial Services Office by completing various administrative and clerical tasks required for financial aid processing as well as being responsible for handling the incoming financial aid documents and customer service. Please note, the financial aid office is currently, temporarily, working remotely. This is an on campus position once the office fully reopens.
• Responsible for reviewing and receiving incoming financial aid documents; • Ensures quality, scans & indexes documents, accurately updates information regarding document status in the database; • Outreaches and assists students completing various financial aid forms; • Processes routine outgoing communications such as award notices and loan notifications; • Maintains financial aid paper and electronic files; • Coordinates for events such as scholarship fairs, orientations and exit counseling sessions; • Welcomes and assists students at the front desk, by phone, email and Zoom.
Education • Associate’s degree; • 1-3 years’ experience working in a financial aid office.
Experience • Microsoft Office including mail merge; • Experience with Banner or other similar software;
Skills and Knowledge: • Title IV Financial Aid knowledge; • Analytical/Problem Solving Skills; • Customer Service Skills.
