The School of Nursing and Health Services at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (N. C. A&T) is seeking innovative and talented individuals to apply for a nine month non-tenure track faculty position in psychiatric/mental health nursing. We are recruiting creative and highly motivated candidates who want to advance their academic careers and support the teaching, research and service missions of N. C. A&T. This position will provide didactic and clinical instruction, student advising and mentoring, and professional and university service.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The position is housed in the School of Nursing and Health Services (SON & HS), which prepares students to become registered nurses, speech and language professionals, and health service managers. The SON & HS is housed in the College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS). CHHS aspires to become a recognized national leader in the advancement of research and practice on equity, access, and advocacy by preparing scholars, practitioners, and innovators. Faculty from disciplines in social work, sociology, psychology, kinesiology, nursing, health services management, and health communications strive to prepare educational and human service leaders who create, use, and share knowledge in local, state, national, and global communities.

Doctorate in Nursing or related field and a Masters in Nursing Education by the anticipated date of appointment. Prior teaching experience in nursing education .
Prior teaching experience in baccalaureate and/or graduate nursing programs. Able to be credentialed to meet the North Carolina Board of Nursing's educational requirement.
Three years clinical experience related to concepts and theories essential in providing nursing care to psychiatric clients.
