Reporting directly to the Drucker School of Management’s Administrative Coordinator, the Senior Faculty Support position will provide a broad range of administrative and academic support services to faculty members.
The regular hours for this position are Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. which may vary due to the needs of the University or School.
Prepare and order all necessary class materials in compliance with deadlines based on the University’s annual academic calendar. This includes converting materials to digital form and researching/collecting materials for course packs.
Assist faculty in complying with various University reporting policies, adhering to templates, and completing paperwork requirements.
Assist faculty with preparing courses on Canvas and responding to student questions and issues with Canvas.
Assist faculty with conducting teacher evaluations using an online system such as Qualtrics.
Assist with APT committee reviews which may include contacting external reviewers, making copies of documents, and assembling portfolios.
Proctor exams as needed.
Prepare presentation support materials for use in teaching, research, and publications.
Ensure class needs are in place including catering for classroom events and meetings, and requesting AV service if needed.
Request office supplies as needed to support faculty.
Provide administrative support for special events and executive education programming. This can include record keeping, promotional efforts, preparing course/event documents, securing AV service, room reservations, hotel reservations, and catering quotes through appropriate channels.
Provide support for processing faculty expenses, Human Resources paperwork, and on-boarding new faculty.
Perform other duties and tasks specific to the position as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Individual must possess knowledge, skills and ability to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Ultimately, the position requires a strong administrator with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Demonstrated organizational skills in a multi-task environment
Accurate typing, filing, and record-keeping skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing, and the demonstrated ability to interface comfortably with faculty.
Proficient with Canvas, EMS, Qualtrics, Peoplesoft, and working with copyright laws.
Understand the University library systems for research purposes, including the use of Google Scholar.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills and ability. Minimum three years’ experience providing general office support; higher education administrative experience preferred.
