The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC seeks qualified applicants for a part-time 20% faculty position at the rank of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry in the Division of Periodontology, Diagnostic Sciences and Dental Hygiene.
The ideal candidate must have a DDS or DMD degree, or equivalent, and must have successfully completed a post-doctoral education, CODA accredited training program in Dental Anesthesiology. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology and have familiarity with surgical aspects of periodontal care that includes dental implant placement, sinus lift/reconstruction, and bone graft and harvesting procedures. Candidates are expected to provide post-doctoral clinical and didactic instruction in parenteral moderate sedation to post-doctoral periodontology residents as per CODA educational standards for certificate programs.
