This position serves as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies [who is a faculty member who typically serves 2-4 terms] and is the manager of undergraduate operations for the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, including oversight of a top College undergraduate enrollment and revenue stream. This position works closely with the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) to oversee all 9 credentials offered by PBS (Psychology BS, Psychology BA, Psychology Minor, Neuroscience BS, Neuroscience Certificate, Organizational and Business Psychology BS, Psychology of Business Certificate, Clinical Psychological Science BS, Clinical Science Certificate). This position is also responsible for department scheduling and the managing administrative needs in partnership and coordination with the DUS, the academic advisors, the registrar's office, and the office of the associate dean for undergraduate education in the college of arts and sciences.
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in a related field.

Three years of experience in the area of student records or academic administration.
Strong knowledge of and comfort level with technology and software/tools (e.g., Microsoft Office - Word, Excel). High attention to detail, along with strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Strong organizational ability. Ability to work independently and effectively with frequent interruptions and diverse populations. Tactfulness, patience, and good judgment. Ability to deal with a large number of students and faculty. Ability to remain calm and work well during hectic and intense periods, such as the beginning and endings of semesters. Experience working with a team within rigid deadlines (e.g., class schedules).
Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and systems (most notably, the course registration process and experience using IU systems such as IUIE, SIS, Elivira, and Qualtrics) is strongly preferred. Prior experience scheduling coursework for a large academic unit or department also strongly preferred, as well as a general interest in undergraduate education, curriculum development, and the discipline of Psychological and Brain Sciences. Training and/or experience in program development, program management, and/or staff and faculty engagement.
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
