Associate Registrar - Student Services, School of Dental Medicine - (21001230)
The Division of Student Services within the School of Dental Medicine is comprised of the Admission Office, Student Affairs Office and the Office of Enrollment Services. The division is responsible for providing student-related services for approximately 1000 students enrolled in pre-doctoral and post-doctoral education programs within TUSDM. The Office of Enrollment Services is comprised of both the Financial Aid Office and the Registrar's Office. The Registrar's Office manages the university-based student information system maintaining both physical and electronic student records. This includes posting and maintenance of grades and transcripts, course catalog and course enrollment. Additionally, the Registrar's Office provides enrollment information to support external and internal reporting requirements, manages enrollment and graduation verification including licensure applications. The Registrar's Office supports graduation activities by managing the clearance process and ordering diplomas and certificates.
The Associate Registrar manages all student academic records, both physical and electronic, including course registration, grades, degree tracking, enrollment and graduation verification. The Associate Registrar acts as principal manager of PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS) within TUSDM and is responsible for providing data to support internal and external reporting requirements. The Associate Registrar works closely with the Office of Academic Affairs and Advanced Graduate Education in order to update and maintain course catalog information, course registration, posting course grades, mitigating grade changes, including remedial grades, and course exemptions and transfers. The Associate Registrar also works closely with the Admissions Office, Financial Aid Office, Student Affairs Office, International Affairs Office and the Health Science Bursar's Office. The Associate Registrar maintains highly confidential information and must maintain compliance with FERPA, GLB and overall information stewardship in order to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all academic records.
1-3 years direct experience in a Registrar's Office setting in an institution of higher education;
Technical experience with student information systems, Excel and Word
General knowledge of Registrar's Office functionality;
Must demonstrate excellent analytical, managerial, interpersonal, oral and written communications skills and the ability to work with diverse student and faculty populations;
Ability to foster a collaborative work environment, have excellent judgement and ability to problem-solve
Preference given to candidates with PeopleSoft Student Information Systems experience;
Direct experience in a graduate/professional school helpful.
Special Work Schedule Requirements: Periodic travel between Boston and Medford campuses; AACRAO Annual Meeting; may require participation in graduation-related activities which occur outside the normal Monday-Friday work week.
