Incorporates a variety of administrative responsibilities including: donor correspondence and stewardship; gift reporting; leadership briefings; database management; invoice and reimbursement processing; and coordination of event invitations and logistics.
This position supports the School of Communication development team within Alumni Relations and Development.
Documents & Databases
Compiles routine reports, statistics, tables, charts, etc. from readily available information.
Updates and manipulates spreadsheets &/or databases.
Drafts gift acknowledgements and other correspondence, including donor stewardship materials and event collateral.
Proofs for spelling & grammar.
Enters, tracks, & maintains documentation & logs of financial transactions.
Ensures that charges have posted to appropriate accounts.
Investigates & resolves discrepancies.
Coordinates supervisor's &/or dept calendar.
Coordinates events which may include creating invitations and other marketing materials, tracking registration, scheduling rooms &/or guest speakers & arranging for routine materials, technology & refreshments.
Represents supervisor in routine/standard situations with various levels of personnel both internally & externally.
Performs other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma or its equivalent along with 2 years of administrative support experience is required.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database software programs is required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle confidential information.
