Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Director, IT Clinical & Admin Systems for the Department of Psychiatry within Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Executive Chair, the Assistant Director manages study-specific informatics and programming for the clinical studies of the Center for Genomics of Psychiatric Health and Addiction. Responsibilities include maintaining data housing and management platforms and optimizing capacity for and conducting data analytics and reporting.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Manages informatics and database programming for the Center for Genomics of Psychiatric Health and Addiction.
Designs clinical studies' database user interfaces, in support of study-specific research protocols, including study screeners, clinical instruments, and assessments.
Maintains data dictionary and data models that support integration across platforms and reporting and data transfers to study sponsors and approved intramural and extramural research partners.
Designs health consumer (lay audience) information and participation interface, including potentially designing support mechanisms for development of an online community of study participants.
Conducts ongoing data quality control, testing and cleaning, reporting to study teams on data completeness and variability, for improvement of prospective data capture, retrieval, analysis, and participant follow-up operations.
Participates in the evaluation of data collection, entry, and reporting procedures, suggesting revisions and proposing new procedures where necessary.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years' experience in research programming and database management, including platforms such as RedCAP and Progeny.
