About the Opportunity: Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Senior Associate Director for Application Evaluation and Selection, the Associate Director for Strategic Projects and Populations will be responsible for supporting the needs of the undergraduate admissions office in leading strategic projects, as dictated by unit and institutional goals, and curating relationships with key external groups. This position will also supervise the support and processing of special admission populations.
As a territory manager, traditional responsibilities include: travel to attract and subsequently enroll freshman; develop and implement targeted programming efforts and activities; manage a territory throughout the admission cycle; evaluate freshman and transfer applicants for admission; counsel and advise students and families regarding the admission process; conduct interviews and presentations; and establish, develop and maintain relationships with guidance counselors and transfer advisors while marketing the University effectively.
This position includes the direct supervision of Assistant Directors of Admissions. The incumbent will be engaged in long-term planning and evaluation, as well as resource assessment and management. The Associate Director serves on the office management team and assists in developing and implementing office policies and procedures. The position serves on campus-wide committees and represents the University to prospective students, families and secondary school counselors. The position also actively contributes to the office welfare by working collaboratively with managers in unit to achieve institutional enrollment goals.

Maintains relationships with key campus partners including University Advancement and Athletics
Recruitment, customer service, and application evaluation for geographic territories
Supervises Assistant Directors
Bachelor's degree and at least five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in college admission. Masters preferred.
Strong supervisory, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
A thorough understanding of the new student recruitment process
Experience working with diverse populations
Demonstrated understanding of admissions technical systems.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented, programming experience preferred
Knowledge of higher education issues related to recruitment, admission and enrollment of students.
Salary Grade: 12
