Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant for it's PHocus (Public Health Outbreaks, Communities, and Urban Studies) program for the Department of Academic Affairs at the School of Public Health. Under direction of the Associate Dean the Student Assistant provides programmatic and research assistance for the Office of Academic Affairs and the development, implementation and evaluation of K-12th grade education events and activities.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assists with the School's planning and implementation of Office of Academic Affairs and K-12th grade education efforts, events and activities, including, but not limited to, tracking courses and syllabi, arranging for facilities and caterers, issuing information and invitations, planning agendas, coordinating speakers and tracking event budgets.
Assists with the preparation of School's publications and communications.
Assists with set-up and data entry for Office of Academic Affairs and K-12th grade education events and activities.
Gathers, computes, compiles and interprets needed data and statistics.
Assists with the preparation of reports.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Currently enrolled as a Rutgers' student.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
Completing coursework for Master's Degree in Public Health.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds.
