The research group of Professor Gabriel Kotliar at the Rutgers Center for Materials Theory (CMT) seek a joint postdoctoral associate starting August 2021 to work on conceptual theoretical and computational aspects of the physics of correlated electron materials.
We have strong ties with many exciting theoretical and experimental research efforts in the NJ/NY area, including a Simons Collaboration Grant on the many electron problem and a center for theoretical spectroscopy and material design grant (jointly with Brookhaven National Laboratories). We have close ties with the chemistry department at Rutgers , with the flatiron CCQ, and with other theory and experimental members of the Rutgers and Brookhaven Condensed Matter Theory and Experiment group. The successful candidate will also many opportunities to diversity their research through these collaborations.
Postdocs that have passed thru Professor Kotliar's group have a world‐class reputation for ground‐breaking and creative research.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics, theoretical chemistry, material science, computer science by the start date of the position and demonstrate excellence in research and strong communication skills.
