The Summer Pre-College program is looking for an adjunct faculty to teach an Introduction to Coding course, as part of the University's Summer Pre-College Program for High School Students. This course aims to introduce students to the basic structure of coding. The primary programming language that will be used in this course is Python. The objective of the course is to provide students a basic overview of the structure and applications of coding, and then to familiarize them with the process of coding using Python. Students will also be required to use their python skills to work on real-world coding projects. This course is offered in a fully-online format.
Dates: July 5 to July 15, 2021 (Monday through Thursday) Time: 9A.M. to 12.30 P.M.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Hands-on experience in developing web or mobile applications using multiple programming languages
Hands-on experience using popular development languages like Python, Java, C#, HTML, CSS, PHP, R, Ruby and other programming languages.
Experience developing applications in Visual Basic or other development environments.
Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
