Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
We are seeking an experienced, positive, highly motivated, organized, autonomous person with excellent multitasking ability and record-keeping skills to join the Research Program on Cognition and Neuromodulation Based Interventions. The primary emphasis of this program is on cognitive rehabilitation in older adults and those in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. The successful candidate will be expected to perform a range of duties in support of multiple research projects. The characteristic duties and responsibilities of this position may evolve to match changing needs and priorities. The candidate will be able to operate in an independent manner to assist in clinical research and related projects. It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to perform all study-related duties if/as needed. Opportunities to lead or assist with the creation of posters, papers, and presentations for scientific meetings may be available. The candidate will handle other scientific administration and clerical activities as directed to support the Research Program, including coordinating with other researchers throughout the Health System. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology or Neuroscience equivalent education and experience with administering and scoring standardized neuropsychological tests, memory rehabilitation or non-invasive brain stimulation. Strong clinical skills and superior verbal and written communication are desired. Experience working with older adults is preferred. Candidates must have demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and preferably statistical analysis packages such as SPSS or other research laboratory programs.
Conduct research projects
Recruit and screen study participants
Enter data into secure database
Act as liaison with study team members and other study teams
Oversee and train study team members
Maintain regulatory compliance and documentation
Participate in team conference, journal club and other trainings
Other duties as needed to support the Research Program and Manager/Director
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Health Science or health related field
1 or more years' experience in clinical research
Ability to implement research projects
Demonstrated understanding of GCP and HIPAA
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with multiple study team members
Excellent computer skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to problem-solve and establish timelines and priorities
Available to work occasional evening and weekends to support the program
Reliable transportation since local travel will be expected
Experience creating CRFs, study documents and SOPS
Experience with investigator-initiated and federally sponsored trials
Experience working with older adults
Experience with IRB/regulatory compliance activities
Generally M-F day shift
