This new position for the College of Innovation and Technology (CIT) is designed to manage the business and finance functions of the College, as well as to provide high level administrative support for the day to day operations.
Provides oversight and participates in complex projects and long range planning for CIT; develops and implements some department administrative policies and procedures, interprets university and CIT business and finance policies and procedures for the department faculty as needed.
Responsible for management of financial analysis, forecasting, accounting/budget functions relative to financial management, budget, costs controls, planning and accounting [including central, general, restricted accounts and financial procedural change].
Coordinates, negotiates and resolves financial compliance issues with various university offices to ensure accurate interpretation.
As directed by the CIT Dean, manages the approved budget, including collection, custody, disbursement, accounting and auditing of all funds.
Provides periodic overviews of the financial condition of accounts and provides counsel on optimal uses of financial resources for strategic planning and management decisions.
Provides financial support services to the CIT Dean and faculty, including processing various procurement transactions, purchases, and reimbursements.
Provides general administrative support to the CIT Dean and faculty.
Maintains accreditation documents and assists with preparation of program reviews
Coordinates and participates in the process of screening, interviewing, and hiring process for faculty, staff, and student employees.
Processes and maintains faculty appointments.
Processes Catalog changes according to University procedures and policies.
Assists faculty with preparation of documents and reviews.
Develops and prepares various reports as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the job responsibilities.
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in business and finance management.
Experience in creating work processes and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure of deadlines and competing priorities; complete tasks in a timely manner and adaptive to a changing environment
Proven excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven strong organization, planning, and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Demonstrated understanding of data, assessment, and innovative technology.
Master’s Degree preferred.
A record of specialization in budget strategic planning, preparation, and financial forecasting.
