Midway University seeks a Nursing Skills Lab and Clinical Coordinator to begin in summer 2021. The 12-month position provides instructional assistance for students in the ADN and Prelicensure BSN programs during the day and evening hours. Duties include but are not limited to the following: coordinate the operation of the Nursing Skills and Clinical Laboratories, work with nursing students as they practice required skills, set up and break down teaching labs, plan and run simulation activities, keep track of student hours and other statistics, coordinate clinical placements, monitor Castle Branch requirements, conduct site visits, and provide student remediation.
We seek an individual who is committed to excellence in skills lab and simulation instruction.
Duties include skills lab and simulation, advising students, and serving on university committees.
Required qualifications: Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution. Successful candidate must hold an active, unencumbered Kentucky or Compact State license. A minimum of five years of Nursing experience required; preference will be given for college teaching experience.
