Instructors in the Department of Design - Summer 2021
The Department of Design at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for multiple instructor positions during SUMMER SESSIONS 2021. Instruction will be remote and courses will run subject to enrollments.
Duties and Responsibilities: Teach one or more undergraduate 4 unit studio courses in the Design major. Teaching may also involve field trips, exhibitions, special projects and guest speakers. Percentage of appointment depends on the type and number of courses assigned. The following courses are open for instructors:

SUMMER SESSION TWO: AUGUST 02 - SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 DES 111 - Coding for Designers MWF 8:30-11:50 AM DES 112 - UI/UX Design: Principles and Practices TR 12:10-5:00 PM DES 116 - Viscom: Graphic Design TR 12:10-1:00 PM & TR 1:40-5:00 PM DES 015 - Form and Color MWF 8:30-9:30 AM & 9:30-11:50 AM
Qualifications: Appropriate professional degree; e.g., MFA, MA, etc., or equivalent training and professional experience. Demonstrated teaching ability and experience for Lecturer positions. For Associate In positions, graduate students should have advanced to candidacy.
Letter of interest including desired course(s) to be taught
Copies of teaching evaluations if available
Digital portfolio of up to twenty design-focused creative works and/or reprints of five published works
Names and contact information of three references.
