The Qualitative Research Faculty position in Nursing Science reports to the Divisional Associate Dean and is responsible for providing leadership contributing to the advancement of qualitative research scholarship in the School of Nursing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains a collaborative, innovative, robust, and highly visible program of research aligned with qualitative approaches and methodologies; actively seeking extramural research funding.
Mentors graduate and PhD students.
Teaches courses and advises students.
Serves on dissertation committees.
Maintains current and extensive knowledge of the scientific and academic information provided in the various program curricula.
Participates fully in SON faculty educational programs, committees, and initiatives.
Adheres to policies and procedures of the SON, University, academic partners, and clinical institutions as appropriate.
Understands and adheres to the compliance standards of Rutgers University as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Fulfills the role of a faculty member in teaching, scholarship, and service.
Assumes other responsibilities or duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Expertise in qualitative research methods
Eligibility for appointment at least at the rank of Assistant Professor whose program of scholarship is published in peer-reviewed journals.
Adaptable, team player who has a strong collaborative style.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
