The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Medical Group Revenue Cycle through the management of key financial areas including budgets, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly ledger reconciliation with the controller's office. The Analyst also has ownership of maintaining all employee master files, coordinating recruiting efforts for the department, management of fleet vehicles, and management of all vendor relationships, including BAAs and purchase orders.
The Analyst will be responsible for creating presentations and taking minutes for executive, physician and other leadership meetings using the department's operational templates. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: calendaring, preparing travel reimbursements, building maintenance/safety/security, supplies ordering, and maintaining email distribution lists. Exercises a great deal of independent judgement and must effectively deal with issues that are sensitive and/or confidential in nature. Under general supervision, applies acquired skills as a revenue cycle analyst to complete projects of moderate scope and complexity.
Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training.
Thorough working knowledge of reporting instruments, metrics and/or dashboard design.
Strong proficiency in common database, spreadsheet and presentation software.
Demonstrated ability to summarize and present reports and presentations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to evaluate the effectiveness of workflows and systems.
Detail oriented, with proven organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, set schedules, and complete projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Excellent communications skills, with the ability to interpret and convey complex clinical finance information in a clear, concise manner.
Proven interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment with internal staff in a wide variety of business and clinical areas.
Minimum five (5) years experience in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and metrics.
Advanced skill in use of spreadsheets and presentation software.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
