Perform confidential analysis for trace amounts of allergenic foods using immunochemical methods. Maintain detailed documentation, identify appropriate extraction procedures, perform methods evaluations and comparisons, assist in ELISA development and perform ancillary lab functions. Perform purification and evaluation of antibodies for use in immunoassay development for the Food Allergy Research and Resource Program.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in food science or other relevant science field plus three years experience in a food industry testing lab required. Previous laboratory experience should include appropriate reagent preparation, experience with analytical laboratory methods requiring proper use of controls, reference materials, and accurate documentation. Must have sufficient experience to independently assess and address assay and sample anomalies. Ability to multi-task required.
Masters degree preferred. Previous experience with antibody development, immunoassays and aseptic technique preferred. Previous experience with methods development or experience modifying existing assays preferred.
