The Assistant Dean of Outreach and Undergraduate Programs is expected to utilize strategic communication to engage the Schoolâ€™s internal and external constituencies â€" including, but not limited to, prospective and current students, alumni, Advisory Board members, corporations and peer institutions â€" to raise visibility and brand awareness.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
â€¢Manages the Zarb Schoolâ€™s social media presence, writing or editing all content with support from social media assistant. Maintains and builds engaging content and campaigns while tracking and reporting on performance. Ensures the collection of social media material at all events. â€¢Produces creative content to promote events and enhance the branding of the Zarb School including brochures, direct mailings, posters, and flyers. â€¢Maintains a high-quality, comprehensive website to communicate the schoolâ€™s value proposition to target audiences. Collaborates with departmental chairpersons regarding departmental content. Implements effective updating procedures. Reviews and approves all copy and design. Works closely with University relations to ensure consistency of web design. â€¢Develops and implements strategies to effectively communicate with alumni, including on LinkedIn and other effective channels. â€¢Manages the Deanâ€™s Business Scholars program for high-achieving business students. Plans and executes programming while managing program requirements and serving as a point of contact for students. â€¢Contributes to the planning and execution of Zarb School programming, including, but not limited to, seminars, conferences, socials, business club fairs, executive speakersâ€™ series and Deanâ€™s Business Scholar activities. â€¢Facilitates in event scheduling, promotion, and other administrative details in collaboration with the Associate Dean. â€¢Participates in the planning, orchestrating and delivery of undergraduate admissions events. Manage student Ambassador Program including student recruitment and event assignment to infuse the student experiences into prospective student events. â€¢Manages the BBA100 Mentor program, engaging upper-class students to mentor those in their first year as part of Zarbâ€™s course, BBA100, Business and Society. â€¢Leads the Zarb Undergraduate Student Leadership Council and encourage collaboration between student organizations. â€¢Engages alumni audience through communications including e-mail newsletters and social media communications. Write and execute quarterly e-newsletter to engage Deanâ€™s Advisory Board. Collaborate with the Senior Associate Dean in the development of strategies to increase student participation in global experiences offered by the Zarb School. â€¢Assists in outreach activities to establish partnerships with community and government agencies to raise the Schoolâ€™s profile and increase experiential learning opportunities for students. â€¢Manages Beta Gamma Sigma ceremony and associated activities. â€¢Assists Associate Dean with undergraduate academic advisement, when necessary. â€¢Other duties as assigned which are aligned with the missions of the Zarb School.
