The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, seeks to hire a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. The Associate will work with Dr. Joanna Williams on data analysis and dissemination from ongoing studies of racial-ethnic diversity in middle schools. There will also be opportunities to engage in other projects that center race-ethnicity and adolescent development. This is a two-year position beginning in July 2021 with salary and benefits commensurate with Rutgers University guidelines.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Candidates must have a doctorate in Developmental Psychology, Applied Developmental Science, Human Development and Family Studies, Educational Psychology, or a related field. Core areas of interest/expertise should include race, adolescent development, and school settings. Candidates need strong skills in qualitative and mixed-methods data analysis and experience in writing manuscripts for publication. Candidates should also be proficient in quantitative analytic methods, particularly regression analysis using nested data. Candidates with the capacity for working independently and as part of a diverse, collaborative research team are highly valued. Candidates must also have a commitment to supporting an equitable, inclusive work climate.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with social network analysis is highly desirable.
