Ohio University Eastern seeks an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Exercise Physiology (non-tenure).
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in exercise testing and prescription for apparently healthy and clinical populations, cardiovascular assessments, biomechanics, resistance training, and other relevant courses as needed within the Exercise Physiology program. The candidate will work collaboratively with the University and Community to promote student learning. They will advise all the Exercise Physiology majors on the Eastern Campus, assist in placement and supervision of students in practicums and internships, and serve on school, college, and university committees. The preferred candidate would contribute to the climate of diversity in the University.
Ohio University's Eastern Campus is located in St. Clairsville, Ohio on the far Eastern side of the state along I-70. Earned Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
Evidence of successful teaching of undergraduate or graduate courses.
Commitment to quality undergraduate education.
Commitment to active learning and use of technology in the learning process.
Commitment to involvement in professional organizations
Earned doctorate in Exercise Physiology or related field preferred.
Professional work experience in the field of exercise science or exercise physiology.
Possession of associated credentials (e.g., ACSM, NSCA certifications).
