This position is responsible for supporting the administrative needs of the Dean of COLSA and others in the Deanâs Office, reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Dean. Under general supervision of the Dean and Executive Assistant, provide high-level administrative and operational support, requiring recurring contact with public and private officials and internal and external constituencies. Perform a variety of complex tasks to support the Deanâs Office in routine operational and administrative details by managing, organizing, prioritizing, and performing office operations. Maintain a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment in all interactions.
â¢ 5-7 years of office support experience of increasing responsibility. â¢ Comprehensive knowledge of office procedures and practices. â¢ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, external constituents, and the general public. â¢ Comprehensive computer skills, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook or similar platforms. â¢ Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills. Capacity and experience in working as a member of a team. â¢ Effective organizational and analytical skills, with careful attention to details. â¢ Strong time management and prioritization skills; ability to take appropriate initiative. â¢ High degree of personal discretion, diplomacy, and judgment. Tact and skill in dealing with others.
