The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the administration and management of all planning, operations, and fiscal management of the athletic ticket office. This position provides the leadership, professional expertise, and discretion to direct the overall ticket and select donor operations at a high standard of excellence. This position performs its duties consistent with NCAA, conference, university, and governmental policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines applicable to the athletics ticket office operation. This position is directly responsible for the evaluation of the effectiveness of the unit operations which includes, but is not limited to, business operations, customer sales and service, and appropriate communication to all constituents.
The Director of Athletics Ticketing is responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing season ticket and group sales for football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, and other special events. Revenue will be generated via phone calls, prospecting new business and program ideas, referrals, partial and flex ticket plans, face-to-face presentations, and in-game appointments with a strong focus on relational selling and customer retention.
The individual in this position must be able to deliver exceptional customer service, be able to think independently to interpret and communicate guidelines, policies, etc. Recognize, define, and resolve standard and non-standard problems applying operating procedures, practices, and established precedents. Resolve reoccurring issues and problems as well as unique situations. Additionally, this individual will be expected to understand and apply a variety of features in software programs, databases, and information systems in the performance of their duties.
