Performs annual educational needs assessment of health assistants and nursing staff.
Reviews and is knowledgeable about regulatory requirements and accreditation requirements and assures policies and practices reflect those standards.
Designs and implements a robust educational yearly plan for nursing and health assistants based on identified needs from survey, trend data from feedback from clinical providers and managers, and other assessment tools such as safety event reporting.
Develops, reviews, implements, and evaluates competency tools used by HUHS.
Designs and implements a system for tracking and monitoring role specific educational requirements such as CPR certification.
Participates in the dissemination of relevant research impacting practice.
Serves in the clinical practice role during increased staffing needs including flu immunization clinics and pre-registration immunization clinics.
Assumes assigned projects as requested.
Adheres to the expectations and professional responsibilities of the department.
Employs the standards, practices, and procedures of the department.
Completes and complies with HUHS training requirements including HIPAA Privacy and Security.
Reports non-compliance incidents to the supervisor, manager, and/or Compliance Officer.

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate Excel skills
Knowledge of and previous experience working with an electronic medical record
Ability to organize tasks, problem solve, and respond in times of multiple demands and urgent situations
