Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Job Summary: The Cultural Resources Specialist requires expertise in basic and applied laboratory and field investigations in an academic discipline including Anthropology, History, Geology, and Biology. Conduct research and develop technical reports in the area of cultural resources. Serve as either Project Director or Principal Investigator on some research projects. In other cases, will serve as analysts (in area of expertise).
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree and three (3) years of research experience in human osteology. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to apply conventional research methods and techniques to expeditiously organize and execute assigned research tasks in their field of expertise. Possess the experience and skill necessary to design research strategies and develop realistic budgets for research projects. Possess interpersonal skills sufficient to work in a team environment. Good technical writing skills. Possess leadership skills sufficient to direct teams of researchers and archaeological support personnel in field or laboratory research assignments.
