Provide credentialing services for Boynton Health providers
Detailed Job Responsibilities:
Credential new providers and do background checks for Boynton
Credential new providers with health plans
Provider re-credentialing (for health plans)
Provider reappointments (for Boynton)
Annual license verifications
Register providers with MCC and CAQH (state and national credentialing databases) and keep information updated
Maintain current copies of licenses/DEA certificates/board certifications; send renewal reminders to providers
Check Medical Board website for sanctions
Maintain Exostar process
Maintain a list of Boynton provider NPI numbers
Provider Privileging / Monitoring of Databases (20%)
Monitor the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) and register new providers and nurses into the NPDB.
Yearly renewal of providers and nurses in the NPDB.
Provide info as needed (NPI number lists, provider lists, DEA/license lists, etc.)
Update provider list in MN Community Measurement database annually
Process credit card charges for NPDB PDS renewals, provider license renewals, etc.
Keep Signature Log up-to-date
Promote a safe, equitable, and respectful environment in which concerns can be addressed effectively.
Psychotherapist reference forms for new mental health providers
Maintain and distribute list of credentialed providers
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma/GED and work experience to equal four years. Training /education may be substituted for some of the years of experience
Experience in general office setting and/or post high school training/education to include one year experience in a medical office setting.
Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture that respects and advances diversity and inclusion.
2-4 years clinic billing experience
Experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
