AMESALL is pleased to invite applications for a PostDoctoral Associate during the 2021-2022 academic year, beginning September 1, 2021. Initial appointment is for one year with possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and available funding. The Postdoctoral Associate will receive a $48,000 salary, health benefits, and office space in the Rutgers Academic Building on the College Avenue campus. In addition to conducting research and organizing symposia during the course of the academic year, the Postdoctoral Associate will teach one undergraduate course in AMESALL. Minimum Education and Experience:
All requirements for the Ph.D. must be completed by August 1, 2021.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Potential candidates should have a PhD in an area of African Humanities, with a special research focus on African literatures and cultural studies. Proficiency in Kiswahili, Twi, or Yoruba will be an added advantage.
