Posting Summary: The Senior Office Assistant is responsible for the daily operations associated with the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. This position prepares and processes all recruitment travel and procurement requests for the office and provides reports of work outcomes. This position completes admissions decisions. This position communicates with applicants and academic departments regarding the application process. This position establishes/maintains filing and other office organization systems and procedures. The employee in this position must work with a minimum of direct supervision and exercise a good deal of independent judgment to assure the Office of Admissions and Recruitment supports all incoming undergraduate students.
This position has responsibility for the overall coordination of the daily operations associated on-ground admissions operations with the initial processing of incoming undergraduate applications. The materials required to complete processing of an application varies considerably depending on the applicant type, level of entrance and the program requested. This position will manage the front desk both in-person and virtual and will support the functions of the admissions department.
Communicate admissions decisions with students. Gather admissions materials and enters decisions timely. Prepares and processes all recruitment travel and procurement request for the office. Prepares reports as well as make corrections to all reports. Oversee and/or coordinate the workflow of student and/or temporary workers. Receive, read, route, and, in some cases, responds to account specific prospective student inquiries. Establishes/maintains filing and other office organization systems and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.
