Research Specialist II - Research Horticulturist and Collections Manager

UT Gardens, Knoxville is in need of a trained horticulturist to manage the production and maintenance of the living plant collections and research trial production in both a greenhouse and garden setting.
The Research Specialist is responsible for oversight in production, planting, management, and performance evaluation of plant research trials; analyzing evaluation data, drawing conclusions, and reporting data to stakeholders; maintaining records for plant collections accreditation and database management. Working collaboratively with the Turfgrass and Horticulture Manager and other UT Gardens team members, this position will establish and maintain high curatorial standards and practices for optimum plant health and performance and reports to the interim director of the UT Gardens. Position is also responsible for labeling plants and maintaining plant database
