The University of South Carolina announces a nationwide search for the position Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs. Guided by this mission, the Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs will serve as the primary administrator for the Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) department of the University. The Director will be responsible for planning, developing, supervising, and implementing policies related to EEO/AA in education and employment, and for the investigation and disposition of internal complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation involving faculty, staff and students. The Director does not serve as the University's Title IX Coordinator and is not responsible for investigating complaints related to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.
The Director will report to the President through the General Counsel and Executive Director of Compliance Programs and will serve as a member of the President's Executive Council. The Director will primarily serve the UofSC Columbia campus but will be available to assist all campuses in the University System as needed.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and eight years of program management or legal experience.
