The instructor for the Reilly DELLC Introduction to Engineering course (14:440:115) teaches the course to the freshmen cohort of the Reilly Douglass Engineering Living Learning Community. Reilly DELLC Introduction to Engineering introduces students to the nine different engineering majors available to Rutgers SOE undergraduates. In addition, it provides students an opportunity to connect with others in the Rutgers Engineering environment, including current and former Reilly DELLC students, other engineering students, and engineering faculty. It orients students to information, programs, and resources to aid in their transition to college and to engineering. The instructor also supervises the team of instructional assistants comprising graduate mentors and learning assistants, who help with the course. The ideal candidate will have experience working with engineering or pre-engineering students, familiarity with Rutgers SOE and the university, a passion for outreach, and a PhD in engineering.
