Hours of position is from 4:00 a.m - 12:30 p.m
As a night shift Storekeeper at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will assist in verifying and proper storage of supplies to various par locations which include nurse servers, isolation gowns, masks, Sterile Processing, Operating Room, GI Lab, Labor and Delivery, while inspecting and rotating supplies to ensure sterile packaging integrity and current expiration date. Remove any expired items from the shelf while developing familiarity with all types of packaging and supplies to par level locations.
Transportation of supplies and equipment to requested patient areas across the Medical Center campus in an expeditious manner.
Receiving supply/equipment requests across the Medical Center campus by telephone and communicating to Supply Chain team members on the priority levels if requests are needed STAT.
Timely and proper put-away of nurse server carts and case cart totes while filling out respective order sheets to pre-determined par levels to ensure efficient stock is ordered and on hand.
Performs cycle counts of Central Issues Inventory to ensure accurate inventory and on hand quantities are reflected within the system.
Proper disposal, handling, and/or storage of any trash or equipment utilized when completing any tasks or assignments
Assist in any ad hoc requests from Supervisors including set-up of supply locations, rooms, returns, credits, or donated supplies.
Identifies and response appropriately to both internal and external customer needs utilizing available resources.
Shares knowledge, time and expertise to assist other members of the team.
Cultivates and maintains strong customer relationships and rapport with stakeholders and/or client groups.
Ability to convey and/or receive written/verbal information to/from various audiences in different formats.
Ability to use software applications and operation technological devices (e.g. email, timekeeping, Microsoft office and other applications, computer, laptop, tablet, pager, smartphone, etc.)
A High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) years of experience working in a central distribution department preferably in a health care setting.
Some data entry experience required.
Good command of the English language (speaking, reading, writing).
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact with professional and medical staff.
Knowledge of medical supplies and their use.
Ability to stand/walk most of the day and may be required to bend and lift up to 75 pounds.
