The Institutional Planning, Research, and Effectiveness (IPRE) office at BCTC administers several surveys throughout the academic year. The Alumni Survey is an important instrument because it allows the college to generate data regarding the current success of our graduates. By way of this survey, we are able to determine which students have transferred to a four-year college/university, entered the workforce, entered the military, or are currently seeking employment. Based upon alumni responses, we are also able to determine which alumni are working in the career in which they studied at BCTC. The Survey Administrator will make phone calls to BCTC alumni and will ask consent to administer survey questions over the phone. After completion of the phone survey, the Survey Administrator will access SurveyMonkey and enter those responses manually. In cases where calls are not initial answered by an alumnus and no voicemail can be left, a required second attempt will be made by the Survey Administrator one week later. In cases where a voicemail is left on the initial call, the Survey Administrator will attempt another call one week later. The Survey Administrator reports to the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness.
