The Staff Nurse will be responsible for:
Working with a multi-disciplinary team that provides quality care for patients and families of all ages in Pre-procedural, Procedural and PACU areas in the Gastroenterology Procedure Unit (GPU) - the primary home of the GI Division's endoscopy and motility programs.
Conducting Pre-procedural assessments and planning.
Working closely with physicians during procedures and post-procedure monitoring in the PACU setting.
Conducting patient and family discharge teaching.
32 hour position
To qualify, you must have:
A minimum of 1-2 years of tertiary experience - ideally pediatric or procedural.
A BSN.
The ability to work three 10 hour days every 5 with varying start times and weekend call on a rotating basis.
Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.
