ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, GRADUATE STUDENT CAREER SERVICES , Career Advising and Professional Development , to serve as the primary Career Services' liaison for graduate students at MIT. Will deliver services to enhance career development and career competencies for graduate students as they consider careers in academia, industry, nonprofits, and government; plan and facilitate an annual calendar of seminars, workshops, networking events, and other educational opportunities for graduate students; provide individual career counseling; act as liaison to the Office of Graduate Education (OGE), faculty and departments, graduate student groups, and employers interested in hiring Ph.D. students; oversee an annual budget for graduate student programming; train staff members in career development best practices for Ph.D. students; develop outreach programs, materials, and services in various departments and programs; and conduct needs assessment of career development services for graduate students, assessing learning and development outcomes, and determining program evaluation results and recommendations for future initiatives or resources. May supervise staff, interns, and student workers as needed. Will report to the associate director, career counseling and education.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in a career center or higher education setting related to career development or relevant industry experience. Salary range: $67,500-77,500, based on experience.
