The Participant Recruiter will be a temporary, non-benefits eligible position. The Recruiter will be an essential member of the Northwestern Medicine All of Us Research Program study team. The Recruiter will conduct in-person participant recruitment at various sites throughout the Chicagoland area, but mainly within Northwestern Medicine clinic facilities in Downtown Chicago and neighboring suburbs. The Participant Recruiter performs recruitment and scheduling for an ongoing research study under the direction of the Director of Engagement and Communications. He/She will conduct in-person recruitment within public areas and waiting rooms across the hospital, tabling, outreach and presentations at a variety community events. These recruitment activities involve following an approved study script and pro-actively talking to Northwestern patients about the All of Us Research Program. In addition, he/she will communicate by phone or email with potential participants. He/She will also help schedule study appointments with participants via phone calls, text messaging, email exchanges and via a web-based appointment scheduling system. Several evening and/or weekend work will be required and flexibility is key.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Selected candidate will enjoy heavy phone and computer work and have the ability to deal with people from all cultures and socio-economic levels in a friendly manner.
Willingness to pitch in and help the study team members wherever help is required.
Must have an engaging, energetic personality and be able to transmit excitement and passion for the project to potential participants.
CITI Training preferred, but will be given .
Software Required: MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
