The Nephrology and Bone Mineral Density Clinic, located at UK Good Samaritan Professional Arts Center (PAC) seeks a Nurse Team Leader. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage a clinic team as well as work independently and be assertive to provide optimal care and support to bone and kidney patients with complex medical needs. The ability to communicate with compassion and professionalism with patients and their families, partner agencies, providers and direct reports is essential. Strong ability to determine workflow and processes to meet practice standards and to use computer systems required to effectively execute these processes is critical. We are looking for someone who is the perfect addition to this very strong and passionate team. The Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease specific patient care to a group of patients who have serious acute and/or chronic health events or who are seeking healthcare to maintain their state of wellness. Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education and clinical evaluation or interventions. This position requires working with medical professionals who are working under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient centered care focus on quality, safety, and service. A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful.
